McMinns Feeder Interconnection Upgrade

Detailed engineering, design and project management for the upgrade of 4-way interconnections on the 22SY02 (McMinns) feeder at two key intersections: Strangways Road/Freds Pass Road and Strangways Road/Spencely Road. The project involved the disconnection of existing overhead links and installation of SF6 Gas Load Break Switches (GBS), improving distribution feeder transfer capacity (DTC) between Humpty Doo and Strangways Zone Substations.
Key Deliverables:
- Overhead line surveys and concept-to-detailed design
- Electrical drawings (SLD, site/pole plans, conductor schedules) to AS/NZ7000 & NP001 standards
- SafeGrid earthing design
- Permitting, cost estimation, and handover documentation
This upgrade enhanced system reliability, operational flexibility, and fault isolation capability across the network.
