Voltage Regulator Relocation & Feeder Upgrade
Voltage Regulator Relocation & Feeder Upgrade
Project Completed - Q3 2025
Universal Guard (NT) successfully delivered a critical power infrastructure upgrade involving the relocation of Voltage Regulator VR-10018 from the 22SY02 MCMINNS feeder to the 22HD402 LAMBELLS feeder.
This upgrade was essential in reducing overload risk at the Humpty Doo Zone Substation, improving voltage stability, and increasing load capacity to support the region's growing energy demands.
Key Deliverables:
- Field survey and overhead line assessment
- Complete electrical design including single line diagrams (SLDs), site layouts, and pole/conductor schedules
- Engineering drafting using AutoCAD Electrical and MicroStation in accordance with AS/NZS 7000 and relevant network standards
- Fault-tolerant earthing system design using SafeGrid
- End-to-end project management, including permits, cost estimation, stakeholder coordination, and final documentation
The project was delivered safely, on time, and in full compliance with applicable standards. This upgrade enhances the reliability and performance of the local power network while supporting future infrastructure growth in the Humpty Doo region.

"Delivering clarity and stakeholder alignment through precision engineering and expert technical analysis."
